Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy explains how NutriHealth handles “consumer health data” under laws such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act. It adds to our Privacy Policy.
Consumer health data we collect
- Body details: sex, birth date, height, weight, activity level and goal
- Food logs: meals, foods, portions, nutrition, meal photos and descriptions
- Weight, water and fasting history, and your calorie and macro targets
- Activity from Health Connect, if you connect it: steps, calories burned, basal metabolic rate, exercise and distance
- Weekly AI reviews written from your logs
Where it comes from
From you, when you use the app, and from Health Connect on your phone with your permission. We don’t buy health data and don’t collect precise location or use geofencing.
Why we use it
Only to provide the features you ask for: calculating targets, logging and totalling nutrition, recognising foods in photos and descriptions, showing activity next to what you eat, progress and weekly reviews. We collect it only after you consent in the app.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that process it for us to run those features:
- Supabase — storage
- Anthropic, Google (Gemini) and OpenAI — food recognition, nutrition estimates and weekly reviews (not Health Connect data)
We don’t sell consumer health data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it for advertising. We don’t have affiliates that receive it.
Your rights
- Know and access what consumer health data we have and who we’ve shared it with.
- Delete it: Profile → Delete account, or email us. We also tell our providers to delete it.
- Withdraw consent at any time: turn off Health Connect access, or delete your account.
- Appeal a decision on your request by emailing us with “Appeal” in the subject. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact your state Attorney General (in Washington, the Washington State Attorney General’s Office).
